Pastoral Care & Counselling

At Liberty we have a Life Enrichment and Counselling Ministry, which aims to provide individuals or families with the skills and Godly wisdom they need to live life well. These ministries seek to serve the Family at Liberty in a number of important ways.

1. We run courses regularly.
2. We also have counselors available to help people base their lives on sound biblical values and principles.

Divorce Recovery

The Divorce recovery program helps those who have been through a divorce so that they heal and grow closer to God.

This program is available to any adults who are in any stage of separation or divorce as well as for children whose parents are in any of these stages.

We meet and run courses periodically, as the need arises!

Prayer Support
Liberty Prayer Group
We have a Prayer support group that meet for an hour every Wednesday morning from 6-7am who intercede for our church, our community and our nation. If you have a prayer need, come along and we’ll pray for you!

Liberty Prayer Chain
We have an online prayer group: www.prayerchain.co.za. “Become a member” of the Liberty Church Randburg prayer group and post your prayer requests any time /or help us pray for others in need. Liberty Prayer @ THE CROSS - Sundays

We have a ministry team available at the cross in the ministry area of our auditorium ready to assist with any prayer requests that you may have after the service. For more information on this ministry group, please contact Bev Daubermann on 083 292 1394 or e-mail ray_bev@mweb.co.za

Prayer Cards

If you have a prayer need please fill in a request card at our Ministry area in our auditorium and hand it in at the Help Desk after the service. Prayer requests will always be handled at our weekly prayer meetings. If you have an urgent request and would like people to stand with you in prayer, come along to our prayer meeting on Wednesday mornings or make contact with Arlene or Bianca on 011 791 0040.
Weddings

At Liberty Church we value the importance of preparing carefully and completely for marriage.
In order to ensure that the months leading up to the wedding are seamlessly smooth, there are certain requirements that need to be met:

Requirements for Marriage Preparation:
1)  Check with Home Affairs to confirm your current marital status.
2)  Contact the church to arrange for pre marriage counselling.
3)  Make an appointment with the Pastor that will be marrying you and your spouse by contacting Aloysias on 011 791 0040.
4) Complete the Marriage preparation document which is obtainable by contacting Aloysias on 011 791 0040 or e-mail aloysias@mylibertychurch.org


Documentation required when we meet
2 x certified copies of your ID’s (Both Partners)
2 x certified copies of your witness’s ID’s (2 witnesses required over age of 21)
2 x Recent photograph’s of the couple getting married
1 x Copy of divorce / death certificate (where necessary)
1 x Copy of the type of marriage contract that you will enter into (Front page only)
1 x Copy of proof of residence of your address you will live at after the wedding
1 x Sample of the Wedding Order of Service. e.g. number of songs/ candles/ items etc
1 x Left thumb print of both partners (to be done at Liberty Church)

If Non South African & are marrying a South African person
1 x Letter from your embassy stating there are no impediments, and that you are not married in your country of origin
1 x Copy of your Passport and South African Permit
1 x BI 31 form which can be obtained from your Marriage Officer

Terms and Conditions:
1. No Liberty Pastors are available for weddings on a Sunday.
2. Fees:
Liberty Church Members:  
A financial gift or honorarium for the Pastor conducting the ceremony may be made via EFT, with the  Pastors name as a reference.      
Non Members:    
A minimum fee of R1500.00 is required to be made via EFT , with the Pastors name as a reference. Payments to be made  to Liberty Church Standard Bank, Northcliff Branch No. 006305 Account No. 002932318
3.    It is not a requirement for Pastors to be invited to the reception.
4.    Should the wedding fall outside of a 50 KM radius from the Liberty Church Campus you will be required to cover the travelling costs for the Pastor.

Baby Dedications
Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways.

Communion
Breaking of Bread services are usually held once a month. Join us for a time of deep worship and reflection around the work of the cross! The elements are also available for your convenience at the cross station at the back of the auditorium each Sunday morning.
Water Baptisms
A water baptism is a symbolic burial, by which a new or growing believer publicly declares they have died to self and the ways of the world, and are now beginning a new life, in Christ.
